Xiaomi launches Redmi Go in Nepal

February 27: Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has launched Redmi Go in the Nepali market. According to the company, the Android phone will be available at Rs 8,999.

According to the company, Redmi Go runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, featuring Google apps that have been optimized to reduce storage and data use.

“Xiaomi has received such a warm welcome in Nepal since its entry last year, and we are really grateful to all Mi fans for their support,” said Sourabh Kothari, Xiaomi’s country general manager for Nepal.

“With Redmi Go making its debut here, we hope that even more users here will be able to enjoy an amazing smartphone experience at an amazing price. This is a part of our commitment to make innovation available to everyone.”

Redmi said in a statement that the new smartphone features a 5.0-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC processor, and a 3000mAh battery. On the back side, it sports an 8MP main camera supported by an LED flashlight. On the front side, Redmi Go has a 5MP camera for selfie. It comes with two SIM card slots and has a dedicated microSD slot that supports up to 128GB microSD cards.

Redmi Go comes in black and blue colours, and will be available in 8GB storage capacity. Redmi Go will be available in offline stores and on Daraz starting March 3.
