Ford Nepal organizes 5-km Fun Run

March 21: Ford Nepal organised a 5.2 km fun run on Saturday (March 16) to mark the International Women’s Day which falls on March 8 every year.

Issuing a statement on March 19, Ford Nepal said that more than 1200 women, children and men participated in the race organised in association with Higher Ground Nepal and Pangro.

Rashila Tamang, Ganisha Maharjan and Surayansh Khatri secured the top three positions respectively in the women's category. Likewise in the men's category, Ujjwal Kharel, Som Gurung and Subarna Thapaliya finished first, second and third.

The event started off with a warm-up sessions by Gym Khana followed by Zumba sessions by Elegant Zumba Zone and Dance Studio, Nitya Dance and Fitness Studio.

According to Ford Nepal, the highlight of the event post 5-km run was the ‘Blind Fashion Show’ by Blind Rocks led by Shristi KC. The fashion show was choreographed by Miss Nepal World 2017 Nikita Chandak.

The event also featured a demonstration of defense and safety skills to deal with sexual violence.
