Mashreq Bank supports a School in Lalitpur

 March 24: Mashreq Bank of the UAE donated a computer, laptop, projector, 3-in-1 printer, and internet connection devices to Shree Krishna Basic School, Kitachaur of Lalitpur district under the bank’s CSR program.

The bank said in a statement that it also donated school shoes (two pairs), school dresses (two sets) including educational materials to all the students of the school from grade 1 to grade 8 for one year.

The donation worth around Rs 1 million was handed over by the Chief Country Representative of Mashreq Bank, Hema Kumari Adhikari, to the principal of the school amid a function organized in the school on March 22.

 Addressing the ceremony, Mashreq Bank Country Representative Adhikari mentioned that Mashreq Bank’s CSR strategy leans towards community development through supporting education of the younger generation.

“We have launched a CSR program called ‘Mashreq Future Generations’ for children’s education through which the bank sponsors the cost of education of the children for a year in Nepal, India and Pakistan,” she said.
