Pokharel Appointed CEO of Citizens Bank

March 26: Citizens Bank International has appointed Ganesh Raj Pokharel as the bank’s CEO. Pokharel had been serving as the acting CEO of the bank prior to his appointment as the CEO. He had been working in the capacity of the acting CEO following the expiry of the term of outgoing CEO Rajan Singh Bhandari.
 
The 295th board meeting of the bank on Monday, March 25, took a decision to this effect.
 
According to the bank, Pokharel has been appointed for a four-year term effective from April 1. Pokharel has been affiliated to the bank ever since its establishment and has held several important posts. He has been the second-in-command at the bank since the last ten years, according to a statement issued by the bank.
