‘Foreign Investment for Economic Prosperity’

April 2: Political party leaders have stressed the need of foreign investment for economic prosperity of the country. They made such remark during a recent function in the capital after the Investment Summit brought optimism in the country for foreign investment.

Speaking at the 21st anniversary of Reporter’s Club in Kathmandu, the leaders of the ruling and opposition highlighted the importance of economic prosperity besides political stability in the country. During the event, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that the country was successful in attracting foreign investment as all the infrastructure and prerequisites are already for economic prosperity.

According to Oli, Nepal is capable enough to stand on its own feet but it takes time, due to which it requires foreign investment.

On the same occasion, former PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal  also said it is a time to head towards economic prosperity as the country has already resolved all the political conflicts.

Likewise, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, leader of Nepali Congress as well as former finance minister of Nepal said that there should be a common stance between the ruling and opposition for the welfare and development of the country.

The Reporters Club also honored nine journalists from different media with Journalism Award.
