June 16: Vivanta Kathmandu, a four-star hotel in the capital, is all set to organise the ‘Dim Sums and Soups Festival’ from June 19 to June 29 on the hotel premises in Lalitpur.
Issuing a press statement, the hotel said, ‘dim sum’ is a Chinese meal of small plates which translates into ‘touch the heart’.
“We aim to touch the heart of our guests through our culinary expertise. We expect food lovers to come and enjoy the range of limitless soups and dim sums as it is a food to be enjoyed surrounded by the people that you love,” the statement said.
The promotional event at Akari and Koko Restaurant on the 10th floor of Vivanta will feature 23 varieties of ‘dim sums’ and 16 varieties of soups priced at Rs 1500+ per person. The 11-day festival will be held from 12 noon to 8 pm every day.
The menu in the festival offers a selection of choice of vegetables, chicken, lamb, beef, pork and seafood under vegetarian and non-vegetarian dim sum category. Likewise, 16 varieties of soup include vegetarian, non-vegetarian and all-time favourite under which Hot and Sour Veg, Hot and Sour Chicken, Sweet Corn Veg and Sweet Corn Chicken varieties are included.
According to the hotel, it will provide a complimentary Japanese beer to the participants in the festival.
