Creativity in Nepali Advertisements

I found the overall program to be a very good initiation. The open discussion helped to gain more information about the Nepali advertisement industry. Though, creativity is a long process and a subject of continuous developing, I believe that the level of creativity in advertisements increase if we continue to organise such programs.

The Crity Awards was started from 2060 B.S. in order to increase the level of creativity in Nepali advertisement. We have formed a committee for this year’s award ceremony. We are hopeful that New Business Age Second Cover Design Award provides support for the Crity Awards. We are producing advertisements that directly touch the heart and that can be felt by the consumers these days. Though we need to focus our efforts to raise the level of creativity in advertisements.

I found the program very motivating as it was based on the contemporary issues of Nepali advertisement industry. Though being a new company, we were able to achieve the third position in the competition. This award has strongly motivated us. " It  is essential to understand the objectives of advertisements that we are doing. Till now we have been making advertisements that are understood by everyone. However, we are not able to foster higher level of creativity in Nepali advertisements compared to those produced abroad. This kind of program can enhance the hidden talents and creativity of many AD agencies who are unable to come ahead in the market."

"The production of Nepali advertisements has spanned a period of two decades. Nevertheless, we lag far behind in advertisments compared to our neighboring countries. We are still giving priority to the layout part. It shows we are not serious enough to promote the products and brands. It needs to be understood that the creativity of advertisments should be liked by the general consumers and yield positive outputs to the products and brands. Though the Nepali advertisment market is growing, the level of creativity has not been developed as such. There should be creativity in both media and medium."

"The event organised by New Business Age Pvt. Ltd is very praiseworthy. We should be able to give output from the money of advertisors by being creative. Similarly, it is necessary to focus on the creativity as well as the motive of advertisments. The advertisment should be easily consumed by the target group. Nowadays, there has been rise in trend to advertise products and services on social media. However,  effectiveness such types of advertisments has been questioned.

 According to a reserach, viewers only remember the advertisments displayed on social media only for 40 seconds. Therefore, it is not enough to advertise  only through digital media."

The program organised by New Business Age Pvt Ltd is appreciative. I find this program to be very creative. The program has conveyed new information about the Nepali Advertisement Industry. I feel that this kind of program should be conducted more often.  I believe that this kind of program brings a positive competition between advertisers and agencies.  Not only in the capital but programs like this must be organised outside the valley as well so that the advertising market in that area will be encouraged. Continuity for this kind of programs must be given.

This is a very nice opportunity for those in the advertising world who do not have much networking. Similarly, I did not expect but our company won the Creative Cover Design Award. This award has been awarded to our creative design and our creative designing team. We feel very proud of the achievement since we designed the cover in a single day.

I feel the program conducted by New Business Age very appreciative. I believe that a program like this will help to resume the Crity Awards which have been delayed due to various reasons. I think this program should be organised on quarterly and half yearly basis if not possible on monthly basis. A program like these encourages the advertisement agencies which are not well established to build networks and promotes the hidden talent. I feel that the participants of the award were encouraged by this event.
