September 26: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) celebrated 60th anniversary of establishment of Nepal Japan Diplomatic Relation. The Chamber organised a special program at exhibition hall at Bhrikutimandap on September 25 to mark the celebration.

The participators of the program urged for the coordination between Nepal and Japan for peace, stability and freedom. They also stressed that Nepal can achieve the economic prosperity through the development of agriculture, tourism and energy.

“The exhibition needs to be organised for the strong economic relation between the countries,” urged Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, President of NCC. Informing about the investment opportunities in Nepal, Shrestha requested Japanese entrepreneurs to take advantages by investing in agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and energy. Expressing the pleasure on the participation at Chamber expo as ‘Partner Country’, Shrestha believed that it will promote the relation between Nepal-Japan.

“Though the diplomatic relation between the countries is long, many works are remaining for the economic development,” said Nagasaki Kotaro, Parliament member of Japan. He continued saying, “Due to the birth place of Buddha and panoramic views of the country, there is lot of opportunities in tourism sector.” Kotaro also urged for the active role of private sectors of both the countries.
