Volkswagon Unveils Two New Models in Nepali Market

August 4: Volkswagon has introduced two new models of four wheelers in the Nepali market. Puja Interational, the authorised distributor of Volkswagon, unveiled New Tiguan and New Amarok on Thursday, August 3 amidst a function in the capital.

New Tiguan

According to Bibek Bijukche, CEO of the company, Tiguan is an off-road vehicle perfect for the roads of Nepal. The price of the car starts from Rs 9.9 million to Rs 10.28 million. The company informed that there are four models of Tiguan. The car is available in both diesel and petrol engines. Tiguan is the new version of the Tiguan series launched earlier in the Nepali market. Tiguan was introduced in the global market in 2007 as a compact SUV, and it entered the Nepali market in 2010. Bijukche said that almost 350 units of Tiguan have been sold since its launch.

Tiguan has various features including six air bags, hill start assist, and auto hold. The SUV also has leather seats, auto park assist, cruise control, app connection, rain and electricity censor and LED headlamps. The specialty of Tiguan is that its door can be opened without using keys.

New Amrok

The pick-up Amarok launched on the same day has four motion wheel drive, off-road ABS and ESP. These features help the vehicle to run in all types of roads. The pick-up also has the capacity to bear extremely heavy loads, it produces less noise, has good internal decoration and comfortable seats.
