Industrial Area in Motipur

August 9: The government is in final phase of surveying land in Motipur of Rupandehi district for the establishment of proposed industrial area. The government has decided to set up the industrial area in Motipur as per its vision of establishing on industrial area in each of the seven provinces. The industrial area will be set up in the nearby places of the Tianu River including the then village  development committees of Motipur, Anandaban, Farsatikar, Tikuligadh and Amuwa.

The survey of land is being done for preparing the Detailed Project Report.

“The survey of land for preparing the DPR has reached the final phase,” informed Tul Bahadur Rana Chhetri, chief of the Butwal Insudtrial Area.

He further said that the number and types of factories in the industrial area will be determined after preparing the detailed project report. Industrial Districts Management Limited (IDML) has appointed Butwal Industrial Area’s chief Rana Chhetri as the focal person for this project.

The government has transferred 813 bighas of land along the Tianu River to IDML for the establishment of the industrial area.

The establishment of industrial area Motipur was undertaken as per the cabinet decisions taken on April 26 and June 16 last year.
