Pyuthan Locals Start Making New Products From Recycled Clothes

October 8: With the establishment of a cotton mill at Baddada of Sarumarani Rural Municipality, the locals have started making new products from recycled clothes. People have been bringing old clothes to the mill, which is converted into raw material of mattresses.

Govinda Buda, proprietor of the mill, has been making mattresses and blankets out of old clothes as per the customers’ demand. He said that he makes Rs 40,000 to Rs 70,000 every month.

Khemraj Sejwal and two other persons are also associated with the industry along with Buda and have been using machines that run with the fuel, diesel. There are half a dozen entrepreneurs like Buda who have been operating small scale industries to recycle old clothes.
