Summit Air Adds New Aircraft to its Fleet

October 11: Summit Air has brought a new 18-seater airplane into operation. The airliner informed that the Czechoslovakia-built plane LET 40 has been in operation for less than 2,000 hours.

With the addition of the new aircraft, Summit Air’s fleet has now reached four in number. The aircraft has modern technologies including weather radar and auto-pilot system, the company informed in a statement.

The aircraft is best suited for Short Take Off and Landing (STOL). The company informed that the aircraft will start flights to eastern, western and mid western regions upon getting clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. Summit Air was previously known as Goma Air.
