NEEK Celebrates Silver Jubilee

October 11: Nepal Ekarat Engineering Company (NEEK) celebrated its silver jubilee at the Hotel Yak and Yeti, Durbarmarg on October 8. The company was established in the year 2049 BS. Issuing a press statement, NEEK said it is one of the first companies to have produced electrical transformers through foreign investment and technology.

“So far, the company has made and sold 5000 KVA capacity electrical transformers in the national and international market,” reads the press statement.

NEEK gifted one 25 KVA capacity electrical transformer to Gramin Samaudayik Sansthan on the occasion of its silver jubilee. Under its social responsibility, the company also provided scholarships to four final-year engineering students who are studying about electrical transformers at Pulchowk Engineering College, Patan. 

NEEK said it has been producing and selling 1 KVA-5000 KVA capacity electrical transformers till now and will upgrade them to 1 KVA-10000 KVA (voltage system 1 KV-132 KV capacity) electrical transformers in the fiscal year 2017/18.
