October 13: Butwal-based Mission Development Bank has opened a new branch at Shivapur of Tilittama Municipality. The bank informed that it opened the branch with an aim to make banking service accessible in rural areas. Issuing a statement, the bank said it is planning to open six more branches. With the opening of the new branch, the bank has also launched financial literacy campaign. The bank’s staff have been making door-to-door visits to inform the locals about the process of saving money and its benefits. The bank’s recovery department’s chief Arjun Poudel informed that about 500 people have opened their accounts at the new branch.
