NT Starts Customer Care Center

October 15: Nepal Telecom (NT) has started operation of enquiry service and customer care center. Tapta Bahadur Bista, State Minister for Information and Communications inaugurated the service centre amid a programme on October 13. The state minister expressed his belief that the customer care center would help NT get closer to its customers.

Speaking at the programme, State Minister Bista said that in the present context customers can be satisfied with updated technology and it will also help in to increase revenue. Similarly, Mahendra Man Gurung, secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications and chairman of the Board of Directors of Nepal Telecom said that the service center will help to address customers’ queries.

Kamini Rajbhandari, managing director of NT, said that the service center would help to address the customers’ queries and complaints.

In addition to that, it is also a step towards making NT more responsible to the customers.

Also, NT which was providing enquiry service through its toll-free number 197 has started operating the center with a new structure. Landline customers will now have to dial 198 and GSM and CDMA mobile customers need to dial 1498 for enquiry. Currently, the customer care service that is being provided only through telephone enquiry will be soon provided by SMSs, email and web chat.

Likewise, NT is planning to answer any comments and suggestion received through Facebook and Twitter via the same service center.
