300,000 Visitors Attend Handicraft Fair

November 21: Almost 300,000 visitors attended the 15th Handicraft Fair by the end of the fourth day of the expo on Monday, November 20. On Monday alone, around 38,000 visitors attended the fair being held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, informed the organisers.

Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal (FHAN) Vice President Prachanda Shakya informed that there has been transaction worth Rs 10 million so far during the fair. The handicraft fair features stalls of leather wears, woolen clothes, felt, herbal products, woodworks, metallic idols, gold, silver and paper products among others.

There are ten pavilions and 180 stalls in the fair. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan and China are also displaying their products in the fair.

FHAN organised the five day fair in the capital from November 17-21 with an objective to promote handicrafts.
