November 26: Chaudahry Group has announced to open seven new industries in different parts of the country.

Binod Chaudhary, president of CG, said that the company will open one or two industries in Kailali or Kahcnahpur as soon as the government creates a special economic zone (SEZ) in Province-7.

Chaudhary said that it has not been possible to open any industry in Province-7 despite his wishes because the region lacks proper customs point to import and export goods.

He claimed that the overall poverty in Nepal is 21 percent but the rate is 42 percent in far-western region due to lack of industrial development in the region.

“I have seen huge potential to develop this region as SEZ,” he mentioned. The increasing poverty in far-western has had its effect nationwide, he said.
