Dhankuta produces Vegetables worth Rs 4.35 Billion in a year

December 1: Dhankuta district has produced and sold vegetables worth Rs 4.35 billion in the last one year. The District Agriculture Development Office has informed that rate of vegetable production and distribution has increasing with the increase in commercial vegetable farming and irrigation facilities in the region.  The district produces vegetables like cabbage, radish, potato, tomato, ‘akabare’ chili, beans etc.

According to the District Agriculture Development Office, this year there was no problem in marketing  of vegetables and the number of farmers in vegetable cultivation also increased along with the expansion of cultivable land as compared to last year.
