Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament Set to Begin this Friday

December 6: Qatar Airways has announced to organise 'Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament 2017' in association with Gokarna Forest Resort. The tournament will be played at Gleaneagles designed, Gokarna Golf Club on Friday and Saturday (December 8 and 9).

This is the seventh consecutive year Qatar Airways is sponsoring the event which has become one of the permanent features in the Nepal’s amateur golfing calendar. Earlier the airways had been co-sponsoring the event in partnership with other sponsors since 2003, Qatar Airways said issuing a press statement.

The tournament will be played over 18 holes, on a stableford format with ¾ handicap allowance. About 90 golfers including men, women, seniors aged 60 and above and juniors aged 17 and under will vie for various titles.

Lady and junior participants will test their skills on Friday while the others will play on Saturday, reads the statement. The winners will win an air ticket to Edinburg.
