Nepal Telecom starts services in remote Mustang and Dolakha

December 6: Nepal Telecom (NT) has started its GSM services from Mustang’s Syangboche View Point and Dolakha’s Dandakharka.

Issuing a press statement, NT elaborated that it install ed a BTS tower on December 1 at Syangboche View Point, located at an altitude of 4,000 meters and about 40 kilometers away from the district headquarter Jomsom. With the installation of the tower, locals of Chhusang, Samar, Ghami, Surkhang and settlements across Tangwe and Jaite along the Jomsom-Korla Highway in Upper Mustang will avail telecom service. Tourists visiting Mustang and Damodar Kunda as well as 400 households will benefit from it, NT stressed.

Likewise, the BTS tower, set up at Dandakharka on November 27, will benefit more than 4,000 customers, reads the statement. Areas like Chinne, Fadke, Sanrathali, Ghaldanda, Bhedfu in Dolakha and adjoining Ramechhap’s Fulasi, Daduwa and Hariya Chinne will benefit from the set up. Locals of these areas will not only be able to avail telecommunication but internet data service as well.
