December 13: IME Ltd. and Muthoot Finance, an India-based financial corporation, have signed an agreement for Indo-Nepal remittance services. Khilendra Paudel, chief operating officer of IME and KR Bijimon, chief general manager of Muthoot Finance signed the agreement in a program at IME’s corporate office at Panipokhari, Kathmandu on December 10.Issuing a press statement, IME expressed its belief that the partnership would greatly benefit the Nepali community in India by easing remitting to Nepal. “Muthoot Finance’s 4,600+ branches across India will make it convenient for the Nepalis to send remittances. The receivers in Nepal can receive the amount through more than 7,100 local agents of IME in Nepal,” reads the statement.

IME said it will also provide account deposit facilities to these customers besides cash payment options. IME is confident that the agreement will enhance its business and customers’ experience.
