January 12: Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet inaugurated the cross-border fiber link established between Nepal Telecom and Chinese Telecom’s Global Reach on Friday, January 12.

Speaking at the function in the capital, Minister Basnet said that the successful testing of the fiber link connection, which is a milestone in the development of Nepal, would contribute to the economic prosperity as well as financial and tourism sectors.

Likewise, Nepal Telecom’s Director Kamini Rajbhandari said that the link with China has added a new dimension to the Nepali communication sector.
