Street children of Nepal are representing the country for the first time

Goldstar supports Team Nepal playing at Street Child World Cup 2018 in Russia

March 13: Kiran Shoe Manufacturers, the manufacturer, distributor, and marketing company of renowned Goldstar shoes, has announced its support to Team Nepal that is going to represent the company in the upcoming Street Child World Cup 2018 being held in Russia. This football event is being held from this May 10 onwards.

The street children of Nepal are representing the nation for the first time in an international event. Shelter Asraya Nepal, a welfare organization that is working for the benefit of street children towards their betterment and secured future is the architect behind the success and with the coordination of the organization, Goldstar is supporting towards the cause and aiding the street children to compete in the international event, the company said in a press statement.

Vidushi Rana, the director of Kiran Shoe Manufacturers, expressed humbly, "When it comes to any sporting activity, a shoe comes to mind immediately. Goldstar, being one of Nepal's largest selling shoe companies, definitely is no less. But towards a sporting event, which is so unique and distinct to its own right – Street Child World Cup 2018, we as a company feel a sense of responsibility and take pride to be a part of it.”

The sporting event – Street Child World Cup 2018, which works against marginalization, stigmatization, seclusion, and aversion of street children all across the world aims to alleviate the perception of responsible society towards underprivileged children and hopes to bring awareness towards their education, placement, and security.
