April 16: Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd (MBL) has started operation of branchless banking in Banke, Bardiya and Kaski. The bank started branchless banking from Baijanath Rural Municipality-5, Bankatuwa of Banke; Wasgadhi Rural Municipality-1, Babai of Bardiya and Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality-7, Dhampus of Kaski, reads a press statement issued by the bank.

“The bank in collaboration with ‘Sakchyam’ project under UKAID has started the service,” reads the press statement. With this, the bank has 18 branchless banking services.
