June 24: New Business Age Pvt Ltd has honored 37 best management colleges in recognition of their excellence and contribution to the related field. The colleges were felicitated during the fourth edition of Nubiz B-School Rating-Ranking Award 2018 amid a function in the capital on Friday, June 22.

The best colleges were chosen from among 1274 colleges from across the country. The awards were given on five different categories – MBA, MBS, BBA, BBS and BHM. Likewise, six best public colleges from six provinces were also awarded during the ceremony.

Madan Lamsal, editor-in-chief of New Business Age, the organiser of the event, informed that the award ceremony was held with the objective of encouraging colleges that have been producing the best prospective managers and entrepreneurs required for the country. He further said that the best colleges were chosen on the basis of the best international standards and practices.

“The selection has been made with utmost sincerity, giving high priority to impartial judgment,” said Lamsal.

“We have given special attention in selecting impartial jury members and ensuring their independence in decision making as well as maintaining professionalism in this regard and for collecting data,” he further said.

Chief guest Khagaraj Baral, secretary at the Ministry of Education, thanked the organiser for hosting the event ‘which should have been held by the government’.

“It is the government in various nations that rates the colleges,” said Baral, adding, “This, on one hand helps in develop the standard of education while on the other hand it clears doubts among the parents/guardians in selecting the right colleges.”

Someshwar Seth, CEO of Everest Bank, the main sponsor of the event, said that the bank has been supporting this event since the first edition with the motive of facilitating students pursuing business studies. Likewise, co-sponsor Oman Air’s country manager for Nepal John Rodrig said this award will help the flow of students to pursue higher degrees abroad.
