September 12: Gyan Earthmovers Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of Italian brand motorcycles SWM in the Nepali market, launched a new product during the 13th NADA Auto Expo on September 11.

As a part of its initial business plans for Nepal, the brand is planning to bring its Silver Vase 440, RS300 R and the Superdual T bikes. The bikes’ displacements range from 125 cc to 600 cc. According to the company, the cost of Silver Vase, RS300 R and SD650 T is respectively 1.45 million, 1.6 million and 2.3 million.

All SWM motorcycles and engines are "manufactured, assembled and produced" in the former Husqvarna factory in Lambordia, Italy. 

The company is planning to add dealerships in Chitwan and Pokhara, apart from the existing 3S showroom in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. Butwal and Dharan too are likely to get SWM showrooms soon.
