September 21: New Business Age Pvt Ltd is organizing the fifth 'NewBiz Business Conclave and Awards 2018' amid a grand function at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza on Friday, September 21. The company has been organizing the program since 2013 aiming at encouraging the commercial sector of the country.

The conclave is being organised with the theme 'Banking Strategies and Disruptions'. According to the company, a panel discussion will be organized during the program, in which experts will discuss on the activities, challenges, and modern technologies in the banking sector. The experts will also discuss on the development of the banking sector of Nepal in the global context.

President and vice president of Nepal Bankers' Association Gyanendra Dhungana and Anukool Bhatnakar, banker Sashin Joshi, CEO of Nepal Investment Board Maha Prasad Adhikari and National Banking Institute’s CEO Sanjeev Subba will take part in the discussions.

Meanwhile, Advisor to Bandhan Bank of India Tamal Bandyopadhyay will give keynote speech during the function. Finance Minister Yuwaraj Khatiwada and NRB Gobernor Chiranjivi Nepal will attend the program. The conclave will also see the presence of business houses of Nepal, banking sector, insurance companies, as well as renowned entrepreneurs and businessmen.

Discussions will also be held on wide range of topics including digital technology in financial sector, cyber attacks and ways to tackle such problems, international practice in banking sector, investment in the banking sector, liquidity crunch and its solution.

Like in the past years, the organiser will also confer the Lifetime Achievement Award to a renowned personality who has been contributing to the society. Likewise, awards will also be handed over in 10 other categories. Separate juries were formed to evaluate the works of business organisations from across the country to award them in this regard.
