October 12: The arrival of tourist in Nepal has increased significantly during the first nine months of 2018.

According to Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), a total of 772,798 tourists have visited the country as of September 2018.  The number of tourist arrival has increased by 20 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year.

 NTB in a statement said that the increasing number of tourists is set to reach a milestone for tourism industry this year.

The NTB said that the number of tourists arriving in Nepal in September alone was 91,820 whereas the number of Indian and Chinese tourists was the highest. A total of 16,345 Indian tourists and 12,987 Chinese tourists visited the country during the review period.
