October 14: Dr Ramchandra Bhattarai, chairman of Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), took oath of the office on Friday, October 12. Ramsharan Kharel, board member of CIT, administered the oath of office and privacy to Bhattarai.

Bhattarai was appointed as the chairman of CIT by the council of ministers on October 7. Bhattarai has completed his PhD in ‘Environment Economics’ and teaches microeconomics at Patan Multiple Campus, a campus under Tribhuvan University. He has served as the board of directors of Rasatriya Banijya Bank, advisor to National Planning Commission and senior advisor to the Ministry of Finance.
