October 28: Uddab Raj Thapalia has been appointed as the CEO of Nepal Finance Company Limited. The company said in a statement that Thapalia assumed office from Wednesday, October 24.

He has 15 years of experience in the banking sector. He worked as the branch manager of Kist Bank and Prabhu Bank in the past.

Thapalia had earlier joined the finance company as senior manager after non-residential Nepalis in Japan decided to bail out the problematic company which was earlier known as General Finance.
