APF Arrests 3 Indian Nationals with Pistol

October 28: Armed Police Force has arrested three persons from Birgunj border in possession of arms and ammunitions.

According to the para-military force, APF personned stationed at Birgunj Customs Point in Parsa district arrested them at around 5 pm on Friday, October 26 with one pistol, two magazines and eight bullets.

APF said in a press statement that a team led by Sub-inspector Ambirnath Neupane of No  14 Company (customs), Birgunj arrested them while checking a Scorpio jeep with Indian registration number BR 05 PA 6166 at the border.

During regular checking, APF found the pistol and ammunition from 27-year-old Abad Bihari Prasad, who told the para-military force that he comes from Ramgadhwa of Bihar state of India. After finding the weapon, police also detained another passenger in the vehicle Umesh Prasad Gupta, who is also from the same place, and the Scorpio driver Om Prakash Paswan, reads the statement.

Prasad, who claimed that he owns a motorbike showroom in his hometown in Bihar, reportedly told the para-military force that he wanted to visit Birgunj to tour the city.

After the arrest, the armed police handed them to the local police for further investigation.
