Syangja to host Paragliding World Cup from Thursday

October 31: Syangja is all set to host the world paragliding championship from November 1 to 4 in Swarek of Bhirkot Municipality.

The world championship is being organised jointly by the 11 local units of Syangja in association with Nepal Paragliding and Handgliding Association, Nepal Air Sports Association and Babu Adventure Club, Syangja.

The organisers said that the venue of the championship, which was initially proposed to be held in Pokhara, was shifted to Syangja after Pokhara Municipality failed to provide ground for the competition.

The competition requires at least 100 square meters of space for landing, which the Pokhara Municipality could not provide.

Ananta Kumar Shrestha, member of the organising committee, confirmed that preparations for the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup has been complete.
