November 12: Etihad Airways awarded its top travel partner agents in Nepal amid a recent function.

Issuing a press statement, the airline company said that it awarded 10 agencies at the residence of the ambassador of the UAE in Budhnilkanthal, Kathmandu on November 11 to mark 15 years of service.

The awards were presented to 10 agencies in four categories: Best Travel Agency of the Year, Best Premium Sales, Best GDS Practice and Best Abu Dhabi Selling Agent. The top five Super Sellers were also awarded for the continued excellence, reads the statement.

Etihad Airways is currently celebrating fifteen years since its first flight on November 5, 2003, with a single Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which performed a symbolic flight to the emirate of Abu Dhabi’s historic city of Al Ain. Regular commercial flights were launched on November 12 of the same year from Abu Dhabi to the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The UAE’s flag carrier now operates the next-generation fleet of over 110 modern Boeing and Airbus aircraft, flying to 84 passenger and cargo destinations.
