Nepal to Host 6th Meeting of Colombo Process

November 13: Nepal is all set to host the sixth meeting of the Colombo Porcess or the Regional Consultative Process on Overseas Employment and Contractual Labour for Countries of Origin in Asia in Kathmandu on November 15 and 16.

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security said that the meeting is being held to discuss agendas including selection of zones for foreign employment and collaboration between the member states.

During a press meet organised at the ministry on Monday, Secretary Mahesh Prasad Dahal said that the participating countries will also discuss about utilization of remittance generated by foreign employment.

The high-level meeting on November 15 will finalize the agenda for the ministerial-level meeting the following day.

Nepal is organising the meeting in the capacity of the chair of Colombo Process, which includes 12 member states.
