November 14: Biratnagar branch of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has awarded the winners of essay competition held on November 11 the occasion of the 63rd Police Day.
The bank said in a statement that it awarded the best three students of grades 9 to 12 from 14 districts of Province 1 for the essay on the topic ‘Sexual violence: Causes, preventive measures and the role of a citizen’ organised by the provincial police headquarters.
According to the bank, it awarded Monika Karki, Bipana Bairali and Samikshya Adhikari with a cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively under its corporate social responsibility.
