November 15: Lately, the government and the private sector have been organizing promotional events in different parts of the world to support the target of attracting two million tourists in 2020.
The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), on November 19, is organizing a promotional event at New Delhi-based Nepalese Embassy in India and Bangalore – another Indian city – to promote tourism in the Indian market.
According to Amar Man Shakya, president of HAN, the association will hold business-to-business meetings with the travel and tour operators in India.
“The number of Indian tourists in Nepal has significantly increased after the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So, the promotional events in India will further help promote tourism in the southern neighbor,” he said.
He also said that the association will organize its half-yearly general meeting in Bangalore.
