Modern Storage Facility of Grains Available in Nepal

November 19: Stakeholders organised a seminar in the capital on Friday to shed light on safe and modern storage facilities for food grains.

The seminar organised jointly by Spain-based Silos Córdoba and Germany-based FrigorTec in collaboration with their local partner in Nepal –Techsol International – dwelt on imparting knowledge about smart grain storage and solution for cooling grain in a country like Nepal whose chief occupation is agriculture.

Aakash Tiwari, managing director of Techsol International, said that they have been involved in promoting modern ways of storage of grains in Nepal since the last two years.

He said that such storage facilities are highly relevant in the Nepali society due to its agrarian nature.

He further claimed that the technology of these two companies would incur less cost in storage of grains and other food items.

It was said in the seminar that food grains like wheat, maize, paddy, mustard among others can be stored safely for a long period using these technologies.
