December 23: NCS.Technology has developed Tourism Core, a new all-in-one cloud platform that helps users build their own tourism website. The developer claimed that the online software has been launched as a growth engine for tourism businesses for the first time in Nepal.

According to the developer, one of the most important features of Tourism Core is that it provides opportunity for tourism businesses to sell domestic and international airline tickets, holiday packages and hotel rooms right from their websites.

During the launch held at Hotel Ambassador on December 17, the developer announced that Tourism Core consists of 11 core clouds, which are namely Hotel Cloud, Airline Cloud, Holiday Cloud, Payment Cloud, CMS Cloud, Advertising Cloud, Events Cloud, Service Cloud, Analytics Cloud, Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

A statement issued by the developer says that Tourism Core is built under the SaaS (Software as a Service) model to reduce the technology adaptation cost and operating costs for small to large tourism and hospitality industries of Nepal.

“We use multiple local payment gateways such as Nabil Payment Gateway, Khalti, nPay, Himalayan Bank Payment Gateway, NIBL E-Banking, NCHL-ipsConnect, SCT Debit Cards and international payment gateways, such as Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, American Express, Diner Club to process global card payments for these businesses right from their website. There are also options of bank transfer, remittance/money transfer and pay at office,” the statement said.

NCS.Technology is a subsidiary of Thulo Group organization credited for establishing ecommerce platforms like NepBay.com, Thulo.com, Gurkha.Host.

The launch event was inaugurated by Raja Ram Nepal, the CEO of Thulo Group. He explained about Tourism Core and how it can benefit tourism businesses. He also presented a live demo of the cloud platform to more than 80 audiences.
