Cash Incentive on Export to Increase

December 30:  With the implementation of new work procedure, Nepali exporters will now receive a significantly high amount of cash incentive from the ones they are currently getting.

The council of ministers has already implemented the new work procedure from immediate effect by discarding the earlier ‘work procedure related to cash incentives in export-2070’. The new work procedure has proposed cash incentive of five percent to 15 different goods and three percent to 11 items for export.

According to the new work procedure, goods like processed tea, coffee, handicrafts and woodcrafts, medicinal herbs, stones and stone-embedded jwelleries, alloy goods and water will get 5 percent cash incentive. Similarly, products like turmeric, vegetables, flowers, honey, cardamom   and ginger will also get 5 percent cash incentive.

Beside these, home-grow clothes, readymade clothes, garments, woolen products will get 3 percent cash incentive. Similarly, the products like pasmina, jute and jute products, jwellery of gold and silver, semi-processed leather, medicines, copper utensils also will get 3 percent cash incentive.

There was a provision to provide 2 percent cash incentive 10 export items and 1 percent for 15 other goods in the previous work procedure.
