January 1: Books ranging from Rs 2 to Rs 1,400 are available at a book exhibition underway in the Nepal Academy (NA) in Kathmandu.
The exhibition to be run till January 13 provides books about language and literature, philosophy and sociology by 350 writers, according to the book fair manager Sudhir Dhungel. 
Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported that the book fair also has dictionaries of Maithili, Bhojpuri, Gurung and Limbu languages and books giving information about their tradition and customs from birth to death. 
Inaugurating the expo organised on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of king Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal, NA chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti said books with discount offers are available in the exhibition for conveniences of readers.
