Bandipur receives 150,000 Tourists in a Year

January 2: Tanahun’s tourism hub Bandipur welcomed 150,000 tourists during a period of one year. Bandipur’s Tourism Development Committee Chairperson Baisha Bahadur Gurung informed Rastriya Samachar Samiti that 150,000 tourists had visited Bandipur from January to December 2018.

According to RSS, around 100,000 tourists had visited Bandipur in the year 2017.

“Roughly, 80 percent of the visitors are domestic tourists,” RSS quoted Gurung as saying.

“The tourism hub had received higher number of external tourists from the United States, Thailand, China, India and Korea,” he added. 
There was a huge influx of domestic tourists to Bandipur during the English New Year 2019, he further said, adding that Nepali people have gradually cultivated the habit of visiting places within the country which also has contributed to promote domestic tourism. 
 

According to tourism entrepreneurs of Bandipur, a huge number of tourists flock to Bandipur in the winter season. On an average, around 300 tourists visit Bandipur every day. 
Bandipur has 57 hotels and 22 home stay facilities to manage the living and food accommodation of tourists, according to RSS.
