Mega Bank Launches 18 Branches in a Single Day

February 4: Mega Bank officially started operation of 18 new branches in a single day. The bank said in a statement that the new branches were inaugurated on Sunday, February 3.

Among the new branches, four fall in municipalities – Bhanu Municipality of Tanahun, Sainamaina Municipality of Rupandehi, Lahan Municipality of Siraha and Bhiarkot Municipality of Syangja. According to the statement, the remaining 14 municipalities were opened in rural municipalities across the country.

The 14 rural municipalities where the bank opened branches are Tripurasundari of Dhading, Bhimsen (Gorkha), Bishnupur (Siraha), Ramnagar (Sarlahi), Laxminiya (Dhanusha), Kumayak (Panchthar), Rong (Ilam), Khijidemba (Okhaldhunga), Rautamai (Udayapur), Geruwa (Bardiya), Airwati (Pyuthan) as well as Helambu, Indrawati and Panchpokhari of Sindhupalchowk.

The bank said it has been providing services through a network of 102 branches, 19 extension counters, 85 ATMs, 119 branchless banking facilities and more than 2300 remit agents across the country.
