SamsungSamsung Launches Tab 3 T111 
International Marketing Services (IMS) Private Limited, the authorized distributor of Samsung Mobiles in Nepal has introduced Tab 3 T111 in the market. According to the company, this is the most affordable 3G tablet from Samsung. The tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. Tab 3 T111 comes with a 7 inch TFT touchscreen and supports the resolution of 600x1024. The tab also has a single micro SIM for calling and messaging, and comes with an internal memory of 8 GB that can be expanded upto 64 GB with  external memory card.
 
Other features of the tablet include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and AGPS and has option for tethering and portable hotspot. Tab 3 111 is powered by a 3600 mAh battery. The tablet is priced at Rs 27,000, and comes with 3GB Ncell Data, 1 GB per month for three months.  
 
MicromaxMicromax Unveils Its First Multilingual Phone
Micromax has launched a new phone Micromax Bolt A24, the first from the manufacturer that supports multilingual system. The company has launched the phone with the theme ‘One Country, One Phone’. According to the company, Bolt A24 supports 20 regional languages including Nepali, Maithili, Hindi and Sanskrit for the diverse Nepali community. Apart from the multilingual capabilities, Bolt A24 has a powerful 1 Ghz processor and it runs on Android 2.3.5. The dual SIM phone sports a 7.1 display, has an expandable memory of up to 16 GB and is powered by a 1200 mAh battery.
 
KarbonnKarbonn’s New Handsets in the Market
Allied Trade Link Pvt Ltd, authorized national distributor of Karbonn has introduced Karbonn A51 and A91 in the market. A51 is a dual SIM phone powered by a 1 GHz processor and it runs on Android 4.0. It has features like 3.5 inch display, 3.2 MP rear camera, front camera, 256 MB of RAM, expandable memory up to 32 GB and a 1100 mAh battery. The phone is priced at Rs 6,325.  Similarly, A91 is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Its features include 4 inch display, 3.2 MP rear camera, front camera, Wi-Fi, FM radio, G-Sensor and Proximity Sensor, 256 MB RAM and a 1500 mAh battery. A91 is available in the market at a price of Rs 7100. 8 GB memory card is offered free with the phone. 
 
androidGoogle Expands Android Platform to Wearables
Google has announced that it is bringing Android, the dominant platform for smartphones, to wearable devices. The move allows developers to create apps for smartwatches, the first phase of the Android Wear platform.
 
"We've barely scratched the surface of what's possible with mobile technology," said Google Android chief Sundar Pichai in a blog post. "That’s why we're so excited about wearables. They understand the context of the world around you, and you can interact with them simply and efficiently, with just a glance or a spoken word."
 
The news comes amid a surge of interest in wearable electronics which can connect with smartphones, and after the launch of several smart watches by large and small manufacturers.The new Android Wear system will make it easier to develop apps specifically for a watch or other wearable device.
 
Global smartwatch sales are expected grow this year by more than 500 percent from 1.9 million units in 2013, and to expand further in coming years, according to the market researcher Strategic Analytics.
 
Google said separately it was expanding its Google Play catalog of films and other content for purchase or rental to 39 new countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. (AFP)
