Yeti Fleet Get New Livery
Yeti Airlines has introduced new livery to its BAE Jetstream 41 fleet.  According to the airline, Jetstream 41 9N-AHW is the first aircraft to be painted with the new design, and the remaining six aircrafts will soon get the new livery. The new livery features Yeti Airlines’ brand color of green, gold and yellow. The new livery was designed by designer Aashik Pokhrel. “We have revamped and refurbished the entire exterior and interior of our existing livery to make the journey more comfortable and pleasant,” said Roshan Regmi, Marketing Manager of Yeti Airlines.
 
China Southern’s Double Daily Flights
China Southern Airline has started operating double daily flights from Guangzhou- Kathmandu – Guangzhou from 15th July, 2014. The new flight timings are 8:30 AM departure from Guangzhou and arrival at Kathmandu at 10:55 AM, and departure from Kathmandu at 11:55 AM and arrival at Guangzhou at 6:30 PM. The airline is operating the flights with its Airbus 319 .With the new double daily flight, passengers can get good  connection to Melbourne , Sydney , Brisbane , Auckland, Perth, Amsterdam , Paris , Frankfurt , Los Angles and New York via Guangzhou, says a statement from the airline. 
 
Cathay Pacific Named ‘World’s Best Airline’ For the Fourth Time 
Cathay Pacific Airways has been named ‘World’s Best Airline’ in the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards for the fourth time. According to the airline, it is the only airline to achieve the award for the four times. Previously, the airline had received the title in 2003, 2005 and 2009. 
 
Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Ivan Chu collected the award on behalf of the airline at a ceremony hosted by Skytrax at the Farnborough International Air Show in the UK. “As the home airline of Hong Kong, we take great pride in putting the city on the international stage by winning this prestigious award once again. The World’s Best Airline award is particularly important to us because it was decided by the votes of close to 19 million travellers from around the world,” said Chu while receiving the award.
The Skytrax Awards are based on a survey of 18.85 million airline passengers from around the world who voted for their favourite travel experiences between August 2013 and May 2014. Skytrax is acknowledged as running one of the most comprehensive customer satisfaction surveys in the airline industry. Airline passengers from more than 160 countries participated in the latest survey, which covered 245 airlines worldwide. The survey measures standards across 41 key performance indicators of airline products and services.
 
Turkish Airlines Voted ‘Best in Europe’ Four Years in A Row
Turkish Airlines has been named the ‘Best Airline in Europe’ for four years in a row at 2014 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The airline was also named the ‘Best Airline in Southern Europe’ and awarded ‘Best Business Class Onboard Catering’ and ‘Best Business Class Lounge Dining’ in the Awards.
 
Turkish Airline became the winner in ‘Best Business Class Catering’ by adding 'Flying Chef' service for business class passengers on its all long-haul and some of short-haul international flights. The airline was also awarded in ‘Best Business Class Lounge Dining’ category for its catering service that has been offered in its expanded and refurbished lounge at Ataturk Airport, ‘Turkish Airlines Lounge Istanbul’. 
 
The awards were presented to CEO of Turkish Airlines Temel Kotil by the CEO of Skytrax Edward Plaisted. The survey operated over a 10-month period, and more than 105 nationalities from over 160 countries around the world participated in the survey. 
 
Etihad Hosts Annual Trade Awards  
Etihad Airways recognized its top travel partners in Nepal in the annual Etihad Trade Awards. According to the airline, the awards acknowledged the contributions by travel partners for the success of Etihad Airways' operations in Nepal. “Our success in the Nepali market is a direct result of our partnerships with our agencies and agents in Nepal. Etihad has always focused on our relationships with our travel partners and with the Etihad Trade Awards, we would like to recognize and reward their support;” said Pawana Shrestha, Etihad’s General Manager in Nepal. The Etihad Trade Awards were given to 14 trade partners in three categories namely Travel Agency of the Year, Best Premium Sales and Best Share Shift.
