April 23: As a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Everest Bank has planted saplings of different species of plants on both sides of Kupandole-Lagankhel road section in collaboration with Pragatishildhara Sudhar Samiti. The CSR activity of the bank was carried out on the occasion of the Earth Day whereby it participated in the green campaign of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
The bank’s CEO Someshwar Seth and the Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiri Babu Maharjan jointly planted the saplings at Pulchowk.
According to the bank, the campaign was initiated with an aim to minimize air pollution and develop the city as clean and eco-friendly city. Talking about the environmental degradation of the Kathmandu Valley, Seth said that preserving and cleaning the environment is an utmost responsibility of every citizen.
