May 17: Qatar Airways, the official partner and official airline of FIFA, announced the launch of its new TV commercial campaign ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 taking place from June 7 to July 7 in cities across France.
According to Qatar Airways, the innovative new film features a mother telling her daughter a wonderful bedtime story.
It is a ﬂight of imagination in which she describes an amazing new land where women’s football reigns, where players rule and fans from many nations gather to cheer, reads a statement issued by the airline company.
The film reportedly features one of the most famous faces from the world of football, Brazilian football superstar Neymar, celebrating with fellow football fans.
“By the time the ﬁlm ends, we realise that the mother and daughter are in fact onboard a Qatar Airways aircraft ﬂying to the very destination she has been describing: a magical land, where the story of women’s football comes alive,” the statement says.
According to the statement, 24 qualifying teams will compete in nine cities throughout France this summer, including Paris, which will host the opening match, as well as Reims, Valenciennes, Le Havre, Rennes, Grenoble, Montpellier, Nice and Lyon, which will host the semi-finals and final match.
In May 2017, Qatar Airways announced its sponsorship deal with FIFA, which saw it become the official partner and official airline of FIFA until 2022.
