Mamagoto Opens its Outlet in Kathmandu

May 31: India’s popular pan-Asian restaurant chain, Mamagoto, founded by Azure Hospitality, has opened its first international outpost in Kathmandu.

After a successful run for a decade across nine cities in India, Mamagoto said it expanded its network to Nepal.

Mamagoto, which literally translates into "play with food", is a fusion pan-Asian café with a relaxed and casual atmosphere, where affordable Asian cuisine and handcrafted cocktails are available.

The interiors of the 4200 square feet restaurant are carefully divided into a cozy indoor section for dining and a beautiful outdoors for lounging, with a seating capacity of 125.

The menu at Mamagoto showcases dishes that are principally of Asian origins, and focuses mainly on the regional cuisines of China, Thailand and Japan (including a few popular choices from Indonesia, Burma and Malaysia).

Mamagoto’s outlet based in Lazimpat was inaugurated on May 26.
