July 15: Tourists visiting Nepal are basically found interested in nine specific destinations in the Himalayan country, according to Nepal Tourism Statistics-2018.
According to the data, most of the tourists in Nepal love to visit national parks and wildlife reserves.
The Pashupatinath Temple is also another favourite destination for tourists. Likewise, Gautam Buddha’s birthplace Lumbini also draws a huge number of tourists.
Other popular destinations for tourists include Manaslu area of Gorkha, Mustang, Humla, lower Dolpa, upper Dolpa and Kanchenjungha foot-trail.
Most of the tourists visit Nepal to either spend their holidays or for leisure and pilgrimage.
According to the statistics, altogether 703,843 tourists visited Nepal to spend their holidays in 2018. The number of tourists visiting Nepal for pilgrimage was 187,692.
Besides, there were also visitors for adventure tourism.
