Laxmi Bank and Laxmi Cares Supports School

August 2: Laxmi Bank along with its social wing Laxmi Cares extended its support to Nava Adarsha Madhyamik Vidlaya, a government supported community school located in Basantapur with around 200 students most of who are from under privileged families having parents working as helpers or vegetable vendors.

According to Laxmi Bank, these children are mostly malnourished and require long-term help in terms of nutritional feeding. In view of this, Laxmi Bank and Laxmi Cares jointly provided annual support to the school of Rs 290,000.

Out of the total amount, Rs 240,000 collected from Laxmi Bank and Rs 50,000 from Laxmi Cares, will be used towards feeding the hungry children. In addition to the above, staff of Laxmi Bank New Road Branch collected a sum of Rs 10,000 on the occasion of NRBC’s 12th anniversary and donated 20 sets of school uniform to the needy school children. The uniforms were also handed over during the ceremony on August 1.
