August 4: Everest Bank has provided financial assistance to Teach for Nepal as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
The bank said in a statement that it has been undertaking different welfare activities to provide education to the underprivileged people of the country.
In this endeavor, the bank has recently handover a cheque worth Rs 500,000 as a continuation of its support to Teach For Nepal under its CSR initiative on education.
According to the bank, Teach for Nepal is a movement of outstanding university graduates and young professionals who are committed to end education inequity in Nepal starting with two years of fellowship teaching in public schools.
Everest Bank said it has been supporting education, sanitation and drinking water in various government/public schools around Nepal.
The bank currently has a customer base of over 1 million and is providing banking services through a domestic network of 94 branches, 28 revenue collection counters, and 119 ATMs.
